OUR TEAM
Malcolm Gwilliam
For over a decade, Malcolm Gwilliam has been on a quest for knowledge. As captain of his university hockey team, Malcolm suffered a near career ending injury and was abruptly thrown into the world of rehabilitation and personal training. It was a frustrating experience. Two surgeries and 18 months later, Malcolm actually faced regression, instead of progress. Instead of giving up, he began traveling across the world looking for better solutions.
After only six months of true individualized personal training, nutrition, and recovery from multiple modalities and disciplines, Malcolm was ready to return to his career in hockey. The progress he had seen from a comprehensive approach to training was unlike he had ever experienced before.
Emboldened by these results, Malcolm finished his professional career and dedicated the next several years to learn and collaborate with the brightest minds in the field of strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation.
By day he traveled the world from places such as Marbella, Spain to learn Gua Sha and Kinetic Chain Enhancement, to Toronto, Canada for Integrative Dry Needling and Fascial Abrasion Technique, to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to learn Advanced Hypertrophy and Body Composition Periodization.
Through his relentless pursuit of knowledge and vast network of industry leaders, Malcolm was able to immediately begin training professional athletes from the start of his training career. This was the inception of Source Performance.
Years later, not much has changed. Malcolm still spends his free time educating himself and has applied that same mentality to Source Performance. Malcolm loves to spend his days with his team experimenting and studying the latest developments in the industry.
The best training system in the world is one that evolves with science, innovates in practice, and produces unceasing results. To truly be all encompassing, the hunt for knowledge is never sated. To Malcolm, there is nothing more symbolic than the success of his clients.
